Training Unders are NOT cloth diapers.
They are like underwear made of heavy fabric with a little extra absorbency where it counts. Being organic cotton, they are not waterproof and they don't wick away all of the moisture, so the little ones can still feel that they're wet - This is key in potty training. But they do have an absorbent liner so that you don't have a gigantic puddle to clean up off of my floor/ sofa/ car seat. Best for catching little drips, not full-blown accidents.
These do NOT have plastic liners. Naturally, they are not waterproof. But you could always slip a nylon shell over them if you needed some insurance.
You can use them as regular underwear even when my toddler's potty accidents are a distant memory because they basically have the same fit and bulk as regular children's underwear.
